Double room in huge, spacious flat.

The flat is the ground floor of a big (almost 1000 sq feet) Victorian conversion, with a spacious kitchen and living room, high ceilings and plenty of room between the two bedrooms. There is also outdoor decking, a garden and a cellar for extra storage. The room itself has a double bed and an Ikea wardrobe.

The flat is on a very quiet street and has a big Aldi at the end of the road, as well as a nearby Tesco, Sainsburys and Co-op.

Location is in Anerley, SE London:

- 5 min walk to Anerley station (22 min train to London Bridge and Overground to Dalston); or
- 10 min walk to Crystal Palace (20 min train to London Bridge or Victoria, and also Overground).

There are also plenty of trains and buses to Clapham, Balham, Brixton, Tooting, etc and night buses from central London stop at the end of the street and in nearby Penge.

For the uninitiated - Crystal Palace has lots of boutiques, bars and restaurants, as well as loads of greenery (including the huge Crystal Palace park), and the high street of nearby Penge covers everything else you might need.

I work in the City and typically work long hours. My current flatmate would attest to the fact we often spent days without bumping into each other, so you will definitely have plenty of peace and quiet. When I am home, I tend to just relax - but am a big fan of the bars in Crystal Palace.

The property was only bought in May so is constantly improving. There are brand new appliances throughout and expect to see new additions (in terms of furniture and other bits and bobs) on a frequent basis. For example, I'm just about to acquire a brand new arm chair and sofa bed. I also spend a fair amount of my spare time doing DIY and odd jobs to make sure everything is nice and in working order.

Potential flatmates should be tidy, respectful and considerate. This is not a party flat, rather a home, however I'm not planning on getting old, middle-aged and boring just yet! I don't have a cleaner (at the moment), so it's a case of both of us chipping in in this regard.
