Spacious room available in Bermondsey 2 bed flat
I am looking for a flatmate to share a lovely 2 bed flat on Grange Road in Bermondsey. I have already put down the holding deposit to secure the flat, the lease will commence on 19th September.
There are two similar sized bedrooms (one with en suite), one main bathroom and large reception room/kitchen with a small balcony. There is a dishwasher and washing machine. The bedrooms are £200pw and £205pw respectively - I am flexible about which one I take. The flat is furnished and new mattresses will be provided for both rooms before the lease commences. The living space is quite large for a two bed flat in central London and is tastefully decorated (the development was completed about five years ago).
The flat is about 15mins walk from London Bridge Station (Jubilee and Northern Lines), 10mins walk from Bermondsey Station (Jubilee Line). The 78 bus (to Shoreditch) also leaves from just outside.
I mainly work at Liverpool St, but I also occasionally work in Canary Wharf. This location is great as it's really convenient for both; journey time to Liverpool St. is approximately 20mins on the 78 bus, journey time to Canary Wharf is approximately 20mins on the Jubilee Line.
I love this area are there are so many amazing restaurants and bars nearby. Maltby St Market, Borough Market and Bermondsey St are all a short walk away. The flat is also right next door to a nice park and the surrounding area feels safe.
I am a consultant working in finance. I'm Irish, but I have lived in London for just over three years. I really enjoy living here! For the past three years my accommodation has been provided by my current company, but as I am starting a new job in September I needed to find a new place. I am a tidy and respectful flatmate. I don't spend a huge amount of time at home (I am out most evenings and I often travel at weekends), but when I want to relax I love nothing more than coming back to a comfortable home!
I should also add that the usual fees will be payable at the beginning of the lease, this will be about £150 each and will cover credit checks, inventory lists etc.
