Cosy double room in Bethnal Green

Aren't you lucky? A cosy, warm bedroom is available in a lovely area of Bethnal Green!

- THE ROOM
The room is small, but it fits a comfortable double bed, a desk, a chair, a bedside cabinet and a wardrobe. There are hangers on the back of the door and the window sill can be a bookshelf!

- THE FLAT
We have all the normal stuff a living space should have: a kitchen (with a new boiler), a bathroom (with a new bath) and a separate toilet (nothing new there, just a sad toilet on its own). Unfortunately, there is no living room, but there is a table and chairs in the kitchen and that is where most of the socialising takes place. The flat is old and small, but it is kept clean and tidy and little by little some improvements have been/are being made.

- THE FLATMATES
The people you'll be living with is definitely the best thing about this flat. They are two English guys and an Australian girl. Steve is an engineer, Keahn is a TV and live-stream director and Meegan works for an antiques newspaper. They are all in their mid 20's and they are the loveliest bunch you can imagine. They enjoy stuff around East London like picnics in Victoria Park, Broadway and Columbia markets, going to the cinema, going out around Shoreditch, etc.

- LOCATION
The flat is extremely convenient if you need the Central line, with Bethnal Green tube station less than a five minute walk away. If you walk down Globe Rd, you get to Stepney Green station in less than ten minutes, where you can get the District and Hammermith and City lines. There is also Bethnal Green rail station, handy to go to Stoke Newington, Hackney, etc. And, of course, many buses to go pretty much anywhere.

The flat is off Roman Road, in a very quiet street. Bethnal Green Gardens are a minute walk away, where you can chill out in the sun or go and grab a book in the public library... or both! Wonderful, isn't it? There are many nice cafes, pubs, parks and shops within walking distance, too.

- COST
The price of the room is £550 pcm. This includes bills (Council Tax, gas, water, electricity and internet). The flat is managed by an agency and when you sign the contract you'll need to pay one month in advance and one month deposit, plus an agency fee which is about £125. All pretty standard. The only extra cost is a £5 kitty at the beginning of every month to buy toilet roll, washing up liquid and all that common stuff.
