Double room in a spacious and sociable house
**PLEASE NOTE WE CANNOT DO VIEWINGS THIS WEEKEND OR DURING WORK HOURS**
We have a cosy double bedroom available in a bright and spacious house share. The bedroom is only furnished with a double bed and mattress; both of which were purchased 6 months ago. This room is only suitable for a single person.
We also have another large double bedroom available which may be suitable for a couple who wish to rent both rooms - possibly using this room as a study, lounge or walk in wardrobe!
The pretty renovated Victorian house is on a quiet road, with free parking, nearby Blackheath rugby club. The house is spacious with a shared upstairs bathroom, a downstairs toilet and a large kitchen/living room. We also have a lovely garden, perfect for summer sunbathing and barbecues!
ere are a range of really handy shops just a few minutes walk away, including a Marks & Spencer, grocers, bakery, butchers, post office, cafés etc. There is also a 24hr Sainsburys in Greenwich/Charlton about 10 mins by bus or an easy 25 mins walk. Blackheath Village is about 20 mins walk across the heath boasting a fine selection of boutiques, restaurants and a farmer's market on Sundays. Our nearest station is Westcombe Park, 15 min walk, trains go direct to London Bridge and Cannon Street. There are also buses that go to Lewisham, New Cross, Greenwich, Elephant & Castle, Westminster, and further south.
You will be sharing with Anna and Ashley, both in their early twenties and work in the city. As a house we all really enjoy socialising together either at home with a film and food, sometimes going to the cinema, and we love visiting one of the many local pubs on either side of the Heath for a quiz night, watching a sports match or playing pool. We also are fostering two lovely little cats, Zoe and Amy, who are very friendly and are always after a tummy-rub!
We are looking for a person in their twenties who will fit in well to our friendly house. We treat our house as our home, we like to keep it clean and tidy and are very respective of everyone's belongings and space; we expect our new housemate to also share these values. It is essential that you like cats and it is the responsibility of the whole household to look after them.
