I am looking for a friendly, sociable and house-trained individual to get comfortable in the large second bedroom in my newly re-furbished and very well located flat at the Shoreditch end of Bethnal Green, a few minutes from Brick Lane.

It is equidistant between Bethnal Green Tube, Shoreditch High Street Overground, Whitechapel Tube and Bethnal Green National Rail, all between 5-7min walk, and is about 30 seconds walk from the bus stop into Central London / up to London Fields / Hackney.

Everything you could ever need is on our doorstep, from daily amenities to parks, restaurants, bars. There is a cash machine & Tesco 1 minute walk away. London Fields, Broadway Market, Columbia Road Market, Victoria Park are all a short walk away too.

The room itself is very spacious, and light, measuring just over 3. 6m bx 3. 4m. It is quiet, cosy, overlooking the shared courtyard on the private estate, and is shielded from the noise of the city around. The flat is down a quiet road overlooking a picturesque row of terrace houses, the green of Weavers Fields and a craft beer pub.

It has a double bed, wardrobe, chest of draws and two side tables. There's enough room for you to put a desk in too if you have one.

The flat has a large main bathroom that will be almost exclusively for your own use, as I have my own shower-room.
The building is secure with CCTV cameras and key fob access to the buildings / car park and communal areas.
There is secure bike storage.

If you require a parking space, it is available at a supplementary rate of £150 a month.

Ideal housemate should be chilled out, respectful of the flat and our neighbours, pro-active in keeping it clean and hopefully smart, funny, a positive presence and basically a good person that everyone likes! (Fair enough, right?)

I have just spent the last few months completely refurbishing the flat, including a new wooden floor and high quality furniture (Ikea Free Zone). Everything is new and nice - let's keep it like that! We have a cleaner that comes approximately fortnightly.

Rent includes estate service charge, all other bills separate, including extra for cleaner (£15 per visit).

Here's a little more about me: I work full time as a senior copywriter in a digital creative agency. I am easy going and open minded, and can enjoy the company of all kinds of people. As a housemate I am clean and organised - mutual respect and communication is the key.

I work long hours in the week, often coming home as late as 10 or 11pm, and I hope my housemate will remain sensitive to this (i. e. no partying or experimental late night MicroKORG sessions mid-week pls)

I try to keep active at weekends with other work - either freelance commissions, pet projects, or frankly just going to a rave with my friends. Either that or I'm just in recovery mode from the week gone by.
