Seeking replacement flatmate on Brick Lane
Hello potential flatmate!
I'm 25, work for HMG (European Fast Stream) in Whitehall and study/practice massage therapy on the side. I read Physics at university, but totes wish I'd done Phys/Phil after spending the past year living with a philosopher. I'm also into life drawing and bouldering, and have other interests in gender and ethics.
The flat is:
actually on Brick Lane;
less than three minutes walk from Aldgate East station (2: 59 when we timed);
around eight minutes walk from Liverpool Street (Central et al.) or Shoreditch High Street (Overground);
about ten minutes walk from Tower Hill (DLR);
two stops from Bank (easy access to Northern line or DLR);
surrounded by an abundance of coffee shops;
very convenient for work in central London, Whitehall, Canary Wharf, Kensington, local coffee shops, or anywhere on the District, Hammersmith and City, Central, Circle, Metropolitan, or Northern lines, or the DLR;
a tad noisy in the evenings but nothing that I don't easily sleep through;
equipped with oven, washing machine and dryer, fridge, shelves, cupboards, TV, PS3, espresso machine, other coffee- and tea-making paraphernalia;
on the second floor, so windows can be left open at night;
slightly rhomboid.
The room going spare has a double bed (old flatmate claims it's Kingsize, but I haven't checked), and that's about it currently. There is a spare clothes rail, but other furniture will need be acquired if you desire it. We free-cycled most of the stuff in this flat, and I'm happy to help carry things/have a look for you too.
You should be:
fun, I guess?
I don't really know exactly who I want as a flatmate. Mainly someone who I find interesting and is up for having a beer/wine/cocktail/whole bottle of rum together at least sometimes, rather than always AWOL. Also someone who doesn't mind joint-hosting the occasional party.
Oh, also, just finally got around to trying Catan, so, uhh...yeah. If you're dtC that's a bonus too.
I'll be holding flat viewings most evenings, so just drop me a text if you're interested. My current flatmate moves out on the 23rd, so the room technically available from then, but I reckon I'll get the place deep cleaned on the 24th so that it's spick and span and so you're not paying a security deposit for a place that's not pristine.
