Bricklane Double Room Quirky Apartment!!!

Ad ref# 3843445

So just posting a little advert to promote our lovely double room ZONE 1 that is coming available on the 21st of February in our apartment share just off Brick lane. The Room is £150 a week (BILLS INCLUDED!! F**K YES!) There is Sky broadband which is hyper fast, and everything you would expect in a home, we have: Fridge, Freezer, Washing Machine, Fan assisted Oven with Grill, Iron, (Crap Ironing board though), Gas hob (not one of those shitty electric bastards), microwave and we also have a large alcohol selection ect. There is a deposit to be paid which is the value of two weeks rent so that would be £300 and then your first week of rent on top. For a double room in the centre of London, it’s pretty cheap. There are no Agency fees or hidden costs or anything lurking to get you. Moreover, the landlady is pretty relaxed on what you do decor wise, if you want to stick up posters or attach a mirror to the wall or ceiling (if you're that way inclined :p) she won’t care. I painted a whole wall in the kitchen in Black Board paint and she loved it.

The Apartment is situated in what is essentially a private courtyard which is roughly 25 meters away from the main street meaning we have a surprisingly quiet and hidden little apartment for the centre of London; Think Diagon Alley and you're on the way to imagining where we live. The apartment its self is approximately 8 minutes walk from Liverpool Street Station (Central & Hammersmith City/Metropolitan/Circle Lines) and approximately 5 minutes walk to Aldgate East (Hammersmith City/Metropolitan/Circle Line.) The interior is kind of a random accumulation of things we have acquired. Adorning the walls for example are: The busts of a naked manikin, Whales Teeth, and stolen posters from Waterstones Book Shop. We also have two Chandeliers, because we’re cool like that.

Where?
We are very lucky to be surrounded by some really neat little Bars, Cafés, vintage shops, Truman’s Brewery which hosts many different exhibits and events every week, vintage record sales, a particularly good little Indian restaurant where I have befriended the owner to a point that we essentially eat for nothing and much Much More!! We do have a veranda outside our house, which despite the previous owners blocking off, we still use in the Summer, and is also a fantastic place for safe bike storage as there is plenty of places to chain a bike and for it to be out of sight, so if you're also into cycling then its quite ideal. Just to say there is no living room!

Which Room?
The Double room you would be moving into is at the end of our corridor at the far end of our apartment, there is a double wardrobe and large chest of draws, a black shoe (and everyday s**t) stand, and also a new double bed with quite a nice mattress (something I’m sure many of you have discovered is not necessarily a given when looking at rooms available in London) lol. The room has a fairly large floor space with a very bright sky light that makes the room itself bright. The whole apartment has very high floor to ceiling dimensions so does make everything feel a little bigger, on the way into the double room there is some very handy storage shelves above you're head where suitcases can be stored. (Nothing worse than a big ugly MOFO suitcase staring at you every time you open you're wardrobe.) There is also a radiator in the room, so especially in the colder weather, the room doesn't get cold. Note: The whole apartment is a little like the sub-tropics. Don’t worry about being Cold.

What?
Please find attached some images of the Double room and some of the Kitchen and Bathroom.
The Kitchen is a good space, it’s not massive but its certainly not small, and most of cook so its kept clean. The Bathroom is large, we have a shower/bath, so quite nice to take a soak once in a while. Hate to post this but going to say it anyway: we do have a Cleaning Rota because we've all lived in houses where people do jack s**t to help around the house, we all have a week in the month where we have the week to just do a clean of the kitchen, bathroom and corridor space. If you know you don’t clean, then this won’t be the place for you as we really don’t pester each other about cleaning, because we respect each other enough to know it just has to be done. Cleaning to stupid Dinsey Music like the Happy Working Song is encouraged. Get the birds and squirrels involved.

Who?
So the most important bit comes, who the hell would you live with? There are three of us here and we do all get on very well, we spend many evenings with each other, especially gathered in the kitchen watching films, Family Guy and putting the world to rights.

Florian is 27 and from Bavaria and has lived here in London now for nearly three years, he works at the Royal Opera House as the Masks, Wigs and Make-up artist and his creativity makes him such a fun and lovely house mate to live with. He is very funny, generous, considerate and enjoys a good time like the rest of us. He has a big heart, a passion for Music, Food, Travel, the Arts and Baroque furnishings. I asked him to give me three things he really likes and after some thinking he told me: Theatre, Taxidermy and Mary Poppins.

Reece is 19 and from the North of England and has been with us since last year, he is training as a restaurant manager at a new restaurant opening in the local Area very soon. Reece is very sweet, very kind and a big softy at heart. He is a wonderful housemate, is always cleaning and making sure that the environment we share is well kept and looked after which is very rare in a house mate. He has a wicked sense of humour and enjoys watching films, spending time with his friends and eating cookies and cornflakes. I asked him to give me three things he really likes and he told me: Europe, Deep Sea Documentaries and Rainy Days.

I’m Adam, 21 and kind of from the North of England with a messy heritage. Florian calls me In-Bred. I am in my final year of my Bachelor Degree in Classical Music at the Guildhall School of Music . I work part time for a Bakery which supplies to Selfridges and also work part time as a music teacher alongside performing for events, and free-lancing in Opera Companies. I eat like a pig, occasionally play football and have a fondness for Tunnels Tea Cakes. Three things I really like are: Lana Del Rey, Food and J. S Bach.

Do get in touch and let us know if you are interested in the place, we don’t really have a preference regarding Male or Female (secretly vary liberal here) but because we are all Gay or Bi-sexual then we thought it would be easier to keep it this way. Hetrosexual Girls are absolutely welcome too. Anyway, get in touch and we look forward to hearing from you.
