Bright double room with it's own mini fridge and microwave to rent in Brockley, London SE4. Good access to Shoreditch, Clapham areas, West End etc., 10 min walk to tube station. It takes 10 min on the train to London Bridge or 15 to 20 to Charing Cross. Plenty of buses too. One of the few areas in London which still has free street parking.
Rent for the room is 650 pounds GBP per calendar month and this includes council tax, broadband and utility bills. I ask one month's deposit and one month's rent in advance . Monday to Friday lodgers very welcome for 550pcm. If you need a place just for a few months, this is ideal.
There is a shared kitchen with washing machine, garden to sit in on a summer evening, and bathroom, all shared with two other females both artistic professionals.
I am the owner of the house, so you would be a lodger rather than a flatmate...if you are a naturally considerate & mature person, you are likely to understand how much respect for my home from anyone staying here is important to me. As it is my home, I do ask that you check with me first if you want to have a visitor, but this is rarely a problem with enough notice (3 days minimum notice).
I am looking for someone with a Monday to Friday daytime work pattern, who may be studying or working on their own thing in the evenings too, so will appreciate the quiet, friendly atmosphere of the house.
Ideally you'll be in your Mid to late 20s/30s/40/50s and be friendly by nature but self contained, with your own busy life, like me, and your other prospective house mate, both of us on the other side of 40, but with a youthful attitude to life.
I'm a visual arts professional & have lots of interests (music, arts in general ,Tai Chi, Science, current affairs, film, language,- french or spanish lodgers very welcome! )I'm pretty much vegetarian but other people cooking meat doesn't bother me as long as you use the pans provided for that!
I love to learn new things and appreciate other people with the same attitude.
If you are looking for a party house, this definitely isn't it! - but I cannot resist a good travel story or a good talk about life, the universe and everything....
