A lovely double room in a friendly, quiet professional houseshare in Brockley, SE4 - a central Zone 2 location - with a monthly cleaner.

I'm leaving this gorgeous room to move back to Scotland for work. Facing the garden, the room features a double bed, desk, two chairs, a chest of drawers and wardrobe, a lamp, plus lots of storage boxes and baskets.

The house is a friendly houseshare with four other women - Irish, English, Mexican and Spanish - either professionals or mature students. I've lived here for 18 months and couldn't be happier with the standard, peace and cleanliness of the accommodation - I wouldn't leave if I didn't have to move. The landlord is helpful, easily contactable and attentive.

You'll have access to a big bathroom and separate shower room with a big powerful shower. The shared kitchen/living room has comfortable sofas and everything you need - your own cupboard space, cooker, microwave, kettle, fridge-freezer and a dishwasher. And there's a beautiful back garden with decking, garden furniture and a barbecue.

The housemates are quiet, friendly and respectful. This is a cheerful house, not a party one.

The house is in the centre of Zone 2. You are 2 minutes walk from Brockley station with the Overground and a direct line to London Bridge, and 10 minutes from Crofton Park direct to Blackfriars. The 171, 172, and N171 buses are only a street away with frequent services to the city centre. There's also free on-street parking.

Brockley High Street has a wonderful range of shops and restaurants. Hilly Fields Park is a few minutes walk away and the brilliant Brockley's Farmers Market takes place every Saturday.

The landlord is looking for a new tenant aged 23-38, male or female, and couples are welcome. You must be working or a mature student - no DSS. There's a 12 month contract with a 6 month minimum stay.

Rent is £150 pw for a single person and £165 pw for a couple. This includes council tax and water. Electricity and gas are paid separately and averages £20 every 4-6 weeks. There's £10 per month for very fast broadband and £10 for the monthly cleaner. We take turns on a rota every week to clean in between the cleaner visits.
