Peaceful Flat Surrounded by Nature & Water

Now that you are in London, or, are planning to move to this megalopolis, you probably need a place to stay. If you are looking for a lovely, homely and quiet flat-share, please read the following description.

We are a couple in our early forties. Shashi works as a Software Architect, and Aurelie is in the Arts, dividing her time between London and France. We are calm and enjoy a peaceful home after a hectic day. We like flat-sharing, good conversations over an occasional meal and fully respect the independence and privacy of our flatmate.

The room you'd be renting is an ensuite double, measuring 12'5"x9'6" (3.8m x 2.9m). It is in our modern flat on the fourth floor of a new development. The room is newly decorated with a double bed, a console table and large wardrobe. The ensuite bathroom allows you full privacy.

The flat is located in a new luxury development with views of the Lea River and bordering South Millfields Park. The development is surrounded by green and lots of open space. It is in a secure block with colour video entry systems.

The area is in a part of Hackney that is vibrant and changing. The new Olympic Park is close by and Chatsworth Road with its Sunday market, delicatessen and cafes is a short walk from the flat. The flat has an open plan kitchen and living area, with large windows with views of the river and a balcony facing Millfields Park.

Transport-wise, please note that it is not central, but in Zone 2. However, Clapton Station is a short 12 minute walk, from where it takes 8 minutes to Liverpool Street. There is also a bus stop in front of the development, with frequent buses on route 48, 55, 56 and N38.

Plus a few additional things ... to keep the flat clean, we hire the services of a professional cleaner twice a month which is not included in the advertised rent, the broadband, water, electricity and ctax are included, we do not have a parking space but bikes can be stored in the basement. And the usual dos and don'ts of flat sharing etiquette which you must be familiar with by now.
