Bright room in lovely Hackney home

Hi!

We have an ample double room available in a lovely 4 bedroom Victorian mansion in Clapton/ Hackney.

Just off Chatsworth Rd and Lower Clapton Rd in E5, it's in a great location on a lovely quiet street that is still near everything you need including the Sunday markets. We're near the canal, Hackney central and Stoke Newington for exploring. On the city bus routes like the 55 and 38 and only a 10 minute walk from Clapton Station (a ten minute trip to Liverpool Street).

The house itself is a three story Victorian with high ceilings, bay windows, huge double bedrooms and some pretty amazing pink wallpaper in the hallways.

The room is a pretty standard carpeted double, but gets nice light in the morning if that’s your bag. Ample space for a double bed, chest of drawers, desk, and wardrobe. It currently has all of those things but if you have your own furniture we can work it out.

The house has a kitchen with skylight, a large lounge as well as a dining room where we like to eat dinner. We have a piano in there and french windows open on to a garden, complete with bbq.

There are two bathrooms of varying quality but they do the job and we have a great bath.

David is 30, an interaction designer who does apps and gizmos at Nokia. He likes chess and takes weekends. Formerly a boy scout and Mayor of the London Fields Lido on Foursquare.

Sophie is 29, a video and audio producer and currently studying an MA in Sound Art. She likes biking about city and country, interviewing interesting people, cooking delicious meals and (guiltily) perusing the latest Nauticalia catalogues...

James is 30, a Pyschologist studying his doctorate right now at UCL and generally enjoys making a good curry for us all or just dipping crisps in to home-made soups.

You
We're looking for a teammate more than a sideline. All the basics down pat: cleans up, takes part, pays rent. You’re also genuinely interested in communal living and sharing a home in London.

Pretty important you’re set up in London — you have jobs or are studying — and have not just moved here with nothing going on.

Rent is £515/month for the room

Bills are usually around £80 per person a month

Deposit is 2 months rent — this was a specific requirement that the landlord insisted on when we moved in but on the upside for us it means we'll always get two months notice if we're ever to move out.

If this sounds good then please get in touch telling us about yourself and any info that might be good for us to know and then we can arrange to meet up. If writing your profession is all you got to write then it's probs not worth it.
