Bright and friendly flat in East Finchley.

Ad ref# 2138521

My current lovely flatmate is moving back to Oz so I am looking for someone to share my humble abode with.

The lovely flat in question is situated in East Finchley not far from the high street.

The area
East Finchley is on the High Barnet branch of the Northern Line, ten minutes from Camden and 25 minutes to the city. It is a safe, clean area with a great little high street with lots of independent shops and a welcoming community feel. The Phoenix Cinema, one of the oldest in London, is also here. I'll often walk home from the last tube and feel completely safe. The area has a mix a beautiful detatached homes and small blocks of 1920's flats. The most expensive street to live on in North London is just around the corner!, its nice to wish.

The flat

The flat, which if I won lotto would be the first thing I'd buy (after a nice big bottle of bubbles) is in a Art Deco 1920's style. There are 2 bedrooms, a large living area, huge kitchen, bathroom and seperate toilet and is on the 3rd floor. There is a small balcony at the front of the flat which over looks the shared garden space, which is gorgeous in the summer.
The kitchen is my absolute joy, its a great size and marvellous for baking up a storm. The lounge has 2 sofas as well as a dining table and is a generous size by London standards. The bedroom comes furnished with a double bed, bedside table, set of drawers and a wardrobe. There is also plenty of storage dotted around the flat.
There is also Sky and Sky Movies with broadband and free international calls.

Me

I am a special needs teacher and work in the local area. I have been living in the flat for the last two years and really dont want to move, its the first flat I've had in London that feels like home and it's also really handy for work!

I am a laid back flat mate, as long as the place is kept clean and tidy I'm generally happy. Not really looking for someone who wants a party place but ideally would want someone who is happy to socialise at times but not live in each others pockets.

I love to bake and would love to have a happy recipient for my baking delights. I generally have the radio on as I love music and try to see live music when I can.

I am 39 and in denial of my 40th birthday next year but I'm often told I don't seem that old- I think that's meant to be a compliment!

Ideally I am looking for a professional who has their own life but equally is looking for someone to share a bottle of wine ocassionaly in the evenings and dissect the day.

The rent is £600 a month with £180 for bills on top of that. So all up £ 780

Would love to hear from you if you like the sound of the place.
