Kingsize En-Suite (gym/pool/concierge/parking)

Ad ref# 3305976

My current flatmate needs to move on 1st May due travel distance from his work. Looking for someone to take over his room. Details below. Please note, we aim to get room taken within a week. Aiming to do viewings on Fri 11th April, Sat 12th April and if not taken, then all day on Thurs 17th April.

APARTMENT:
Very Modern 2 bed 2 bath flat within the new Hudson Building of the SE One (Deals Gateway) complex with all mod cons such as dishwasher (except microwave bizarrely!). It is an eco-friendly designed flat, which has all the features fo saving energy where it can be saved (water, heating, electricity, recycling). It even has a form of air conditioning that controls temperature. Located literally right outside Deptford Bridge DLR Station (but flat is away from the tracks so you don't hear/see it) and within 5 minute walking distance to Greenwich (or 1min on DLR) or New Cross Station. Lewisham is 2 mins on DLR. Also served by 2 night buses right outside the complex: 53 and 453 plus various day buses. There is a Tesco metro next door.

The complex also has a tapas bar, convenience store and manicured gardens. We also have our own private shared garden (see pics). It has a FREE shared lap swimming pool and fully fitted gym (currently being renovated and re-opening next week). I can send you a pic of this separately - I couldn't upload it due to the pic limit.

There is a dedicated underground gated carparking space available also. Otherwise, we can rent it out for £65/month to someone else. Opposite is Broadway fields (a nice park with canal, basketball cage, football cage) good for walks or chilling out, picnic in summer, catching the rays.

Greenwich village is 5 mins walk away or 1 min on DLR. Greenwich village has everything you'd want of a village but still urban enough to be London. Home of the Meantime brewery. If you want to experience a different village feel, check out Blackheath, also a few mins away.

Canary Wharf is 10 mins on DLR, Bank 20mins, Stratford 20mins. So lots of shopping malls (how American of me), cinemas, food areas, bars etc.

Commute to Waterloo/London Bridge is easy via Greenwich, New Cross, Deptford or Lewisham train station. In peak times, Greenwich to Waterloo is about 20 mins but that is because of the London Bridge track renovations. They are opening new tracks up over the next few months so queues into London Bridge station will hopefully be no more! Off-peak is about 10-15mins.

THE ROOM AVAILABLE:
King size bed
Master bedroom - large (photo doesn't do it justice and due to photo upload limit, I couldn't take a pic of the remainder of the room)
Mirrored ensuite shower room with large mirrored cabinet
Large double built-in wardrobe
Very bright and airy

Current full apartment contract ends in January 2015 but has a 6-month breakout clause (which will be in July 2014). You would be taking over the remainder of the contract from my flatmate simply by changing the name on the contract at the letting agency (there is a referencing fee with them).

Bills (not included in the rent) come to approx £100-£125 a month which include council tax, water, electricity, sky (full package - sports and movies), fibre optic broadband. I reckon that will go down a bit over the summer as the heating hasn't been on for a while now.

ABOUT ME:
I am a 32yr old (33 by the time you move in but mental age of about 28) guy from Scotland with Pakistani heritage (I can cook great curries if you like that sort of thing). I like cooking, but got a bit lazy of late. I need to get back into it.

I work at St. Thomas' hospital in Waterloo as a HIV/Sexual Health pharmacist. Don't judge me ha! It pays the bills. I'm also a property investor so that will eventually let me leave the NHS and start to make some money for a change!

I'd like to think I'm fun, social but not a party animal (I've had my day) but that doesn't mean I don't like a good party, just the apartment isn't suitable. I like to chill out at weekends (if I'm not working) and evenings, watching tv/movies or learning to play the piano (random impulse purchase but now being taught by a cool jazz dude who lives in the complex), going to the park, walking aimlessly around Greenwich village markets etc, impromptu roadtrips or nights out.

I'm a massive snowsports fan (i. e. going on ski or snowboard hols which I organise every year for a huge group of us). I'm learning French at the moment so that eventually, I can do a season out there or buy a chalet with my millions of pounds that I've still to make...somehow. I'm also a Glastonbury festival fan! I don't like football - both watching or playing - but I'm very used to watching it on TV if you are a footie fan. I like F1 though, so the Sky Sports comes in handy for me as well!

I'm very clean and tidy in the communal areas, not intrusive (you can have your own space or chill out in the living room as much as you want). Ultimately, I'm easy going and get on well with everyone very easily.

WHO I'M LOOKING FOR:
Hoping to find someone who has similar interests preferably but not essential. Just as long are you're a nice, easy-going person, speaks English well, clean in the communal areas, chilled out and looking for a nice modern flat with all the luxuries. I have no preferences otherwise. May be you can get involved in the annual snowboarding/ski trip if you wanted.

I have a piano lesson (I know, me and my weird new hobbies) in the living room (where the piano is) for 1hr once a week. Usually happens on a Saturday around midday but not always. If I'm off work on a weekday, then I try to do it then instead so it doesn't interfere with you. So you would need to be someone who doesn't mind giving the piano teacher and I that space for an hour a week. Also, with lessons come practice, so I would practice during the week when I can, but that doesn't need you to be away. If that gets annoying, I can put on headphones - just not the same though.

IF INTERESTED:
Please ping me an email from your Spareroom account which will then link to your profile.
