Lovely bright double room in Homerton
We have a double room available in a cosy house in Homerton, Hackney.

THE HOUSE:
It is a terraced Victorian house with wooden floors, a kitchen diner which also leads to the garden, a small but cosy living room (without a tv Im afraid!),
1 bedroom on the ground floor, 3 bedrooms and a bathroom on first floor. We have a lovely garden too, with a vegetable patch if you're interested in helping out growing your own veggies.
THE NUMBERS:

Bills (Council Tax, internet, electricity, gas, water) are all shared and come to approximate £80 per person/ month depending on season

THE ROOM:
It's a small but cosy double room at the back of the house overlooking the garden. The room is light and gets the evening sun. The room comes unfurnished
THE AREA AND CONNECTIONS:
The house is located on a pretty quiet street, not far from Chatsworth Road (with coffee shops & eateries, delis & pubs, a variety of other shops & a great Sunday market).
It s a 5 min walk from Homerton overground station, 2 stops away from Strafford & the Olympic park (which has a great swimming pool!), a 10 min walk to Hackney Central & plenty of buses around the corner.
The area has a lot of great outdoor & nature spaces for nice walks ; Hackney Marshes, Walthamstow wetlands ,Victoria Park, London Fields.
Broadway Market, hackney wick & Regent’s Canal are all within a walkable distance to.
We also have lovely neighbours inc old Bob next door whom we have been cooking & looking out for during lockdown.
HOUSEMATES:
You will be living with Matina, surface designer & who also works in a organic restaurant and Maria, bar manager and photographer & Lianne, who is just about to move in, works in digital marketing
It's a pretty quiet but also sociable house.
In normal circumstance we are all pretty independent and busy but the Pandemic has meant staying home more then normal, so we are respectful of the need for privacy & shared spaces but also like to catch up over a drink or food & invite friends over (when possible again)
But we are not a late night party house.
Some of our interests are art & design, Photography, music, food, drinks & growing veggies.
It is a homely house and people have tended to stay for a long while.
Where also like to keep it clean and tidy.
YOU:
We are looking for someone nice and friendly that would fit in with the above, someone that is looking to invest in a home for a minimum of 6 months, and who is happy to help out with general house stuff and responsibilities
Preferably no students (for Council Tax reasons), no smoking in the house & no couples.
if you're keen on helping out with the garden, then that's a plus!
We also follow the government guidelines during the pandemic and we want someone respectful of that
So... if you are interested and fit the bill , please send us a message with a little bit about yourself. We look forward to meeting you :)
