Room in spacious, sunny Kentish Town flat

A furnished room (9 m sq with double bed, table, chair, wardrobe, chest of drawers, bookcase) in a sunny, top (fourth) floor flat situated in a 1940s block (now a mix of private and council tenants) on a leafy, residential road between Kentish Town, Tufnell Park and Holloway.

There's a separate kitchen (with a dining table) and a sitting room (with a sofabed for guests). The bathroom does have a bath with shower. The balcony is south-facing, so it gets the sun until 4 o' clock. And the lovely green expanse of Hampstead Heath is less than 15 minutes' walk away.

It's a quiet flat both in terms of little noise from neighbours and the street and also in how I live - for better and worse, I'm the only flatmate, though my girlfriend will probably be here a couple of evenings a week. I'm an editor/writer in publishing and journalism, and work from home - in my room - a few days a week. I'm interested in the arts, so when not working am often out at the cinema or theatre or seeing friends. (That said, this summer I have a book to write, so will be more deskbound than usual.)

In a flatmate I would like someone with whom I'd at least occasionally share a meal and with whom I'd regularly have a chat. Some flatmates have become good friends. I'm not a live-in landlord, but as the longstanding tenant I am responsible for the flat. Bills are about £110 a month each. The room is available for a minimum of a three-month let. Previous tenants have found it - and I hope it continues to be - a quiet, friendly home.
