Double bedroom in lovely bungalow - refurbed!
I bought this place a year and a half ago and it was very run down. Since then virtually every room in the house has been completely gutted back to render and re-decorated. During the time I was decorating I had no intention of leaving the property either so it has been decorated to a very high standard.
The whole house has been re-wired, re-plumbed, new bathroom (the shower is a god send, lots of pressure and water flow), new furniture, new radiators (some of which are designer), both front and rear garden have been landscaped, the driveway is big enough for three cars and I could keep going with more info but I'm sure you get the idea from the pictures.
The bedroom itself has been decorated very clean and minimal. It has a fitted cupboard in the walling which goes full height so is deceptively decent sized in there. The bed is a continental king size (larger than a UK king but smaller than a super king) It is also an ottoman which has hydraulic arms under the mattress meaning the entire mattress can be lifted up easily to use the underside for storage.
There are a couple of shelves on the wall and since the picture was taken the cupboard doors have been updated as well as a chest of drawers added for more storage.
I recently decided to go backpacking so I will be leaving on October 6th for a minimum of 6-7 months (more likely 9-10 months). I am happy to put in a contract for 1 year though to ensure a reasonable amount of time to commit to.
Transport links are good with Mill Hill East station five minutes away and Finchley Central station about 7-10 minute walk also. Kings Cross can be reached in about 20-25 minutes door to door on a good day. By the same token, in the opposite direction only a 10 minute drive gets you into Arkley or Totteridge where there are some great pubs and restaurants. The area is safe, quiet, residential and private but still easy to get into Central London.
All bills (water, gas, electric, and Virgin TIVO and Broadband) are included as well as share of council tax at a complete total of £650 month. Smokers are welcome but smoking IN the property is strictly off limits - The patio is designated smoking area. :)
The other bedroom is occupied by a friend and will likely be so for the duration of the tenancy for this agreement. He is a professional like myself, easy going but still keeps the place clean/tidy but still enjoying the very occasional get together on the weekends. The same sort of person is sought to join him.
a preference is for a female room mate but this is not a must.
