Big, airy room in peace-loving household, Mile End
A big room with west facing windows & adjacent to a suntrap balcony is looking for a tenant!
I'm leaving my friends and flatmates of four years to move in with my partner. This is a cracking split-level flat in a super area of town - surrounded by parks, Regents Canal, the lively Roman Road with everything you need within a short walking distance. Plenty of storage available, and while there isn't a living room, the kitchen is spacious and very much a social area.
As we've been quite a tightly knit unit for some years now, I'm looking to find someone of a complimentary temperament to my darling friends. This is a peace-loving household; while we're sociable and friendly, we keep ourselves to ourselves on the whole, and like to spend our time reading, writing, making art, playing instruments and watching films/playing games etc. While we don't object to the odd knees-up now and again, loud nights and raucousness isn't really our bag.
Ideally, the new tenant would have similar pursuits. The house is a quiet space to escape to in busy lives, so if you're looking for something like that, you'll be just the ticket. A laid back personality, open-mindedness, similar interests and being LGBT friendly is very important to the current tenants.
The room itself is huge. It's partially furnished - the furniture my own - so the only thing that's really necessary for the place is a matress of your own. I am also going to leave behind a large desk/display case which would be ideal for a craftsperson - the entire space would be a very good fit for an artist of some variety, as the light and easy-to-clean wood floors give it a studio feel.
The rest of the house is in great condition, and the split-level design makes it feel really cosey and like a proper home. We like cleanliness and neatness within reason, too! Regarding bills - bills are on top of the displayed rent, and I can't give an exact value - as we're all friends, we've been a little lax about how this is shared over the last few years. This is something I will have to discuss with the current tenants, but I think an equal split of council tax, water, electricity, gas and internet will come to around £70 a month.
I'll be able to see people from the 24th onwards and I currently work evenings, so please feel free to e-mail, text or leave a message if you're at all interested.
