Lovely double room in New Cross Gate

Fully furnished bright double room available in a modern 2-bed house, sharing with a friendly landlady. All bills (gas, water, electricity, council tax, broadband and TV license) are included.

The room comes with: double bed with masses of under-bed storage, wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside table and tub chair. There is also a desk and/or bookcase available if you would like these in the room.

The rest of the house consists of a fully fitted kitchen/diner, living room, and shared bathroom. There is an off-road parking space available for use, and a small garden at the rear which is perfect for summer BBQs (if we ever get a summer!).

The house is on a quiet residential street with very little traffic, and the nearest bus stop is 2 mins walk away with buses giving easy access to London Bridge, the City, Waterloo, and the West End. New Cross Gate station (zone 2) is 10-15 mins walk (or 3 mins bus) away for fast access to London Bridge and the overground network.

New Cross is an 'up and coming' area of London and is well served with all the local amenities you would expect: supermarkets, cafes, restaurants, takeaways and good pubs. And if you want a bit more choice the bars and shops in fashionable Greenwich are only 15 mins away.

I'd describe myself as an easy-going landlady looking for a flatmate who I can enjoy a glass of wine and occasional meal with rather than just a tenant to cover the bills. I keep the house clean and tidy and would expect my flatmate to as well.

The rent is negotiable depending on number of nights per week the room is required (£600 per month is what I charged for 7 nights a week), and I ask for one month deposit and one month rent in advance.
