Great Find!! 2 Bedroom/Bathroom, Zone 1-Borough!

Great apartment, amazing zone 1 location, good price, fabulous flat mates!! The photos are from the landlord and DO NOT do the flat any justice!

Sasha and Yohan here. We have been furiously flat hunting for the past few weeks and found this great place at Borough. We are now looking for another couple to join us!

THE FLAT
This is a basement level, two bedroom, two bathroom flat. It is within a sought after victorian property with open plan lounge/diner kitchen, solid wood flooring and underfloor heating. It has a large modern kitchen, nice lounge room and quite a spacious courtyard. There is one room with an ensuite that we would have dibs on (shotgun!) but you would have the larger main bathroom to yourself. Your bedroom is a reasonable size and quite comfortable with a built in wardrobe and set of drawers. Overall the flat is in good condition, had some recent refurbishments after the last tenants and looks good. It is furnished but we plan to make it our own (together with you). We will need to buy a few essentials- crockery, basic kitchen gear and maybe a TV later on.
Private landlord- £20 per person referencing fee. Bills/council tax will be split equally- Energy efficient under floor heating.

LOCATION
The location! Surely the best feature of this flat. Zone 1! A quite street just 45 seconds from Borough Tube station! 2-3 minutes from lots of cool bars, cafes and restaurants. About 7 minutes to Borough market which is a foodies Mecca with tones of amazing local fresh produce (and a life changing mushroom pate!). 8 minutes walk to London Bridge which is a very central and well connected station to most areas of London.

THE FLATMATES (US!!)
We are a fun, well travelled, open minded and interesting couple! We met doing volunteer work in Africa and have since travelled to five countries together before deciding to make it big in London! We like our own space but want to share a place with friends, not strangers. We’d love to be able to watch a movie together or share an occasional meal / glass of wine (or 3). We are both VERY clean and tidy (!) and would want the same for our flatmates- no one likes doing someone else’s dishes in the morning (or ever).

SASHA: 26 year old Australian physiotherapist (if you ask for a massage it’s going to hurt) who loves good food, hitting the gym, socializing, shopping, reading and chilling out to a trashy movie. Travelled to 21 countries throughout Europe, Asia and Africa and interested in fitness, health and nutrition

YOHAN: 29 French-Israeli soon to start work as a sales executive with a passion for humanitarian work. Spent three years in the army, lived in nine different countries, travelled to 15 more and also speaks French and Hebrew. Recently finished studying Political Science and International Relations. Enjoys a beer, political debates, nutella, music and swimming.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
A couple who are in the same stage of life as us. Don’t mind what gender or ethnicity you are- you can be blue or from the moon, as long as you’re a nice person. Someone who is clean, tidy and respectful is a must. Professionals preferred- we’re happy to have a sociable house to have the occasional gathering/night out, but this won’t be a party flat.

THE CONS
Every flat has drawbacks and we think it's important to be honest about them.
- The apartment is at the basement level and while it does have big windows it is not as well lit as some. But we did realize that "winter is coming" and London will be dark anyway.
- The washer and separate dryer are in the ensuite bathroom, which is kind of annoying but we won’t bite when you want to wash your socks.
- The second bedrooms built in wardrobes are reasonably small but you also get a large set of drawers.

THE PROS
There are many!
- Across the road to the tube!!!!!
- Amazing location, ZONE 1 people!!! You're a stones throw from of a bunch of cool places and extremely well connected- but still live on a quiet street!
- Big courtyard with bbq and table area- perfect for socializing!
- Large kitchen with lots of storage space
