The building

The house is located in Metro Central Heights (architecture fans will recognize the Grade II listed work of the legendary Ernö Goldfinger) right across the Tube station of Elephant and Castle. Plenty of buses, the Northern and Bakerloo lines and National Rail, all less than 5 min walk from our door. We have 24h concierge, swimming pool, steam room, fully equipped gym all included the rent and you can park your bike or car in the garage.

The surroundings

Besides living right at a transport hub for South London (we live right by the roundabout) currently undergoing massive regeneration, you will be living in Zone 1 and within walking distance of the Tate Modern, Borough Market, Southbank and Waterloo/Westminster. There are plenty of pubs in the area, some of them really cheap, one big Sainsburys and Tesco, Iceland, Poundland and tons of shops in the mall. Food wise you’ll find dozens of Latin American restaurants, two street food markets, and far too many other options to mention, alongside a small quirky theatre. There are also three clubs within walking distance – the Ministry of Sound, Corsica Studios and Coronet.

The Flat

We’re on the eleventh floor, with a massive balcony/terrace that has probably one of the most breathtaking and unobstructed views you’ll find in London (with a barbecue!). The penthouse has 4 rooms – couple lives on the one in the ground floor and the other three, including yours, are located on the upper floor. The living room is spacious and is part of an open space along with the kitchen. Every room is double-glazed and soundproofed. Wifi is 100mbits and we have Netflix and Amazon Prime video (to share!). There is also one shared toilet and bathroom.
The room
Your room is the master bedroom, with a fully equipped ensuite bathroom and a beautiful view over the City and Canary Wharf. It is very spacious and is equipped with a bookshelf, double bed and a desk. You can also fit all your stuff in a very spacious built-in wardrobe.
The crew
We are 4 Portuguese young professionals aged 25-32, working in the creative and financial industries, and we’re all friends. We like to spend time together, cooking, going out, watching movies, drinking wine (if you call it “vino” please refrain from applying [unless you’re Italian] :P), beer , or whatever. We’re tidy-ish, easy going, sociable, and although this is not a party house we like to throw the occasional party and have friends over for dinner, or spending the weekend (this perk is obviously extendable to you). We basically want someone to share the house with, not just to live with.
