Double room in SE17

We have a lovely double room available in our shared house, a remarkably quiet Victorian terrace just off East Street. The room comes fully furnished with a double bed, fitted wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside table, bookcase and desk.

We have a lovely cleaner that comes in fortnightly on a pay as you go basis - which adds up to £20pm each. Everything else is included in the £741 (some bills can slightly increase/decrease depending on rates and usage of course). Cleaning products and odd house expenses we share equally.

The house has two bathrooms, a small but perfectly functional living room, a kitchen with the standard amenities and a courtyard garden. The closest supermarket is Lidl, about 5 minutes’ walk away (Old Kent Road's Tesco is also a v short walk away, and Walworth Road Morrisons about 15 mins), and there are brilliant transport links via bus. The house is a comfortable walking distance to Bermondsey, Borough and Elephant & Castle with all their great pubs, restaurants and so on.

We (the incumbent housemates) are three professionals in our mid twenties/and 30s (two guys and a girl), looking for someone who is friendly, warm, considerate and tidy. We all have our own lives but we also like to have the occasional drink and hang out together, so we'd welcome someone sociable!

The landlords are always responsive/lovely to deal with and the house contract runs on a yearly basis with agreed rent increase of £100 starting from March 2025, which is still a good deal compared to the average rates in the area.
