Bright and quiet room with French doors onto patio
Mon - Fri let
Looking for a female, professional flatmate who’s seeking a room in London Monday - Thursday.
The room:
A bright, quiet, and comfortable double-bed room with French doors opening up to a patio.
Furnishing includes : a double bed, a chest of drawers, a single wardrobe with hangers / shelves and some hooks. If desirable, the wardrobe can be swapped for a desk and the space underneath the bed can be used for storage.
Bedding is included if desired. The room is currently decorated with pictures.
There’s a WLAN connection in the room to ensure high-speed internet access.
This room is for single-person use only, no overnight guests, please.
The house can be pet-friendly for those four days, depending on the pet and conversation.
While all bills are included, the lodger is expected to contribute to the cleaner’s cost once a month (£53) or clean the communal areas to a good standard once a month.
The flat:
The flat comprises another bedroom (the landlady’s), a fully furnished living room and kitchen area, and a shared bathroom.
The flat newly refurbished, so it’s small but neat.
What I love about the flat: its brightness and little patio, which is lovely in the summer. The neighbourhood shops and cafes (still mostly independent). The proximity of London while still being relatively affordable for central London. The many easy transport connections into almost every part of London - and to the M1 and Northern Circular.
The housemate / landlady:
Bubbly, curious and busy during the week, into food, exercise and cooking in the evenings when I do arrive home early-ish. Politically progressive and pro diversity, but respectful and in need of order at home to feel “well”.
N. B. The reason I am looking for a lodger is that I’m hoping to help fund growing a forest. A tree hugger and planet lover indeed.
Location and transportation:
The flat is located in zone 2 near bus stops for buses 271, 43, 17, 263, 4, 29, 253 etc., and within 10-15 minutes of the Underground stations Holloway Road, Tufnell Park, Finsbury Park and Archway (Northern, Piccadilly, Victoria line and Thameslink). So everything in London is pretty easy.
The Upper Holloway Overground station is within a 10-minute walk.
Access to Angel, Highgate and Camden is within 15 minutes by bus and Shoreditch, King’s Cross and Tottenham Court Road/ Soho within 30 minutes.
The flat has on-street parking in front of the house with easy access to the Northern Circular via the Holloway Road.
