Renting a large double room in a gorgeous apartment 5mins away from Kilburn station.
THE HOUSE
Bright ground floor apartment with high ceilings, large windows, wooden floor, spot lights and modern furniture. It's made of 3 bedrooms, living room, kitchen, bathroom and garden. Completely renovated few years ago and kept in great condition.
THE FLATMATES
You’ll be sharing the flat with Max, 27 yo, student/actor from Dorset and Danielle 26 yo, working as IT operations administrator.
They’re both very friendly and are looking for someone sociable to have occasionally dinner together, go out, etc.
BILLS AND FEES
£740 + bills, which come to an average of £90 per month (Council Tax Band C), that’s because gas and electricity are to be paid quarterly, so they vary from month to month. In any case everything it’s completely transparent. You'll be added to a Google Sheet where we keep all the bills.
While the deposit is half a month of rent (£370).
THE ROOM
The room is the master bedroom, the biggest one of the flat, with a window facing the garden. It comes with a large double bed, a large wardrobe, bookshelf and a desk. You can try also different settings than in the pictures, as some previous tenants did.
TRANSPORTS
10 mins walking to Kilburn station on the Jubilee Line.
12 mins walking to Brondesbury Overground Station.
15mins walking to Cricklewood Thameslink Station
Plus, we are on the main road and there is a bus stop just in front of the house - perfect for the night buses -, but also during the day you might get to the tube in less than 5min since buses are passing on that road all the time.
The main road might concern you about the noise, however the house doesn't directly face the street and the garden is really quiet all day long.
THE NEIGHBOURHOOD
That part of Kilburn is really nice and safe. On one side there is Kilburn High Road, which hosts a diverse range of supermarkets, some nice pubs and a lot of restaurants. On the other side, up north, there is Cricklewood, full of services, where you can find many pubs and restaurants as well.
Just next door to us there is a Cooperative supermarket open everyday till 11pm, it's very very handy.
Despite not being a prime location for nightlife, there are some nice pubs in Kilburn and some in West Hampstead which is just 20 mins walking and really nice for nightlife.
THE LANDLORD
You wouldn't usually mention this, but we probably have the best landlord ever! He's very kind and friendly and he would immediately satisfy any request you have..
He truly cares about his tenants and wants them to be happy in his property.
Plus for any problem in the house there is a trustful team which sort out all the problems right away. They are all friends of our landlord: Shawn the builder/handyman, Steve the plumber and Norbert the gardener.
