Ensuite Room In Muswell Hill
A double ensuite room in a 4 bed house available! Ideally we would like someone long term - it would be a sublet from 19th May to 31st July, and then signing a new lease after that.
About the room / flat:
The room is a spacious ensuite that comes furnished with a double bed and 2 wardrobes. It has a view out to the garden so gets lots of sunlight. There is plenty of space for a desk as I will be taking mine with me!
The flat is a 1st floor maisonette with a large living room and separate kitchen that has a washer, tumble dryer and dishwasher. We have a lovely big back garden which we share with the woman downstairs (although we hardly see her). There is also free on street parking if you have a car.
Location:
We are located in N10 - just minutes away from Alexandra Palace Park! Muswell Hill is less than 10 mins walk away which has many cute brunch restaurants, as well as a Sainsburys, M&S and Little Waitrose. The area is so lovely and safe and I’m honestly gutted to be leaving! In terms of transport, Alexandra Palace station is 20 mins walk or 5 mins bus away; a 10 min bus takes you to both Highgate and East Finchley (Northern line); a 10 min bus takes you to Wood Green (Piccadilly line); and a 20 min bus takes you to Finsbury Park (Victoria and Piccadilly line). So even though there is no tube nearby, transport is still very accessible and it doesn’t take long at all to get anywhere.
Price:
Rent is £891.66 pcm, with bills and council tax coming out to approximately an extra £120 depending on usage. I’d also like to request a deposit of £300 (just as we’ve had people sublet with us before and not show or left the room in a state which has made us liable). This will be returned at the end of July when the lease terminates. And if you would like to stay on, you will then put in a new deposit with the landlord that gets put into a protection scheme.
Housemates:
Marcos - primarily a DJ but also works a day job from home during the week
Jialan - theatre director and teacher, also runs her own business from home during the week (she is away in China at the moment and won’t be back for a couple of months)
Hannah - primary school teacher in Wood Green; Hannah will be moving out at the end of July so won’t be on the new lease
All the housemates are lovely people, we respect each other’s space and do our own thing but do occasionally have a house dinner or a chilled night in together!
