A comfortable double bedroom in a highly desirable 3 bedroom period terrace house. Fantastic location and connectivity.

The room is furnished with a Habitat double bed with drawer storage, a high quality mattress from Hypnos, a large desk with chair, a chest of drawers and a hanging rail. There is an original Victorian fireplace and wooden shutters. It is on the ground floor.

The house as a whole has a very bright and spacious feel. The living room has high ceilings, large windows and a working fireplace. There is a new 43" smart TV.

The bathroom is large and features a generous shower bath. A water softener is plumbed in, meaning the water is kinder to skin and hair than in most London homes. There is lots of storage for toiletries and a brand new washer/dryer.

The kitchen is fantastic: the appliances are Miele and the pots/pans/utensils are excellent quality. It has large roof windows and gets lots of natural light. Patio doors open onto a leafy south-facing garden equipped with lounge chairs and alfresco dining.

The house is on Baxendale Street, a quiet residential street just off Columbia Road. It's an enviable location: there are shops, markets, restaurants, bars, multiple parks and the canal virtually on the doorstep.

Transport and connectivity are great. On foot, it's only 5 mins into central Shoreditch and 20 mins to Liverpool Street. To get the tube, the nearest station is Hoxton overground which is 2 stops to Whitechapel and from there you have the Elizabeth, District and Hammersmith & City lines. The Central line is 15 mins away at Bethnal Green station. There are excellent bus routes into central London too.

The existing housemates are me, Louisa, British, 28, and Sam, Australian/French, 27. I work in design marketing and Sam is a management consultant currently doing an MBA. It's a friendly, respectful and chilled household. Keen on cooking, literature and fitness. There will sometimes be a dog around the house: a 4yo toy poodle called Elvis.

I own the house so this is a lodger agreement but the vibe is still a houseshare. Gas, electricity, water, broadband (100Mbps) and council tax (band E) are split equally. You can expect to pay roughly £105 to £144pm for bills, depending on the time of year (cheaper in summer!).

My ideal housemate for the third room would be a single professional female. High standards of cleanliness and tidiness. Vegetarian/vegan preferred but not essential. Easygoing and conscientious. Would love to make friends and share the occasional meal!
