ABOUT THE AREA
Our address is Commercial Street but the entrance to the house is on Petticoat Lane/Wentworth St – right at the edge of the City & in the heart of Shoreditch, East London.

The area itself is vibrant, busy, interesting & full of character. We’re only a 2 min walk to the brilliant Spitalfields Market with lots of restaurants & busy markets Fri-Sun. We’re a 5 minute walk to Brick Lane, again brilliant markets at the weekend with lots to see & do and plenty of weekend nightlife.
We’re a 15 minute walk from Columbia Road Flower Market; a great way to pass a Sunday morning. So if you like markets, curry houses, and street art – we think you’ll like the area!

ABOUT THE HOUSE
We are a 7 bedroom apartment on the 3rd floor of an old converted fabric warehouse.
The apartment itself isn't huge, but it’s clean, not too shabby, friendly & extremely central location wise.
We have a large, bright kitchen with a glass topped dining table & couch.
The kitchen has all the usual appliances – a nice big double hob, double oven, dishwasher, kettle, toaster, microwave, 2 fridges, blender, washing machine. We don't have a separate living room – but the kitchen is big enough for us to use it as one.
We have 3 small bathrooms with showers that we share between us – with powerful showers.
We have a gas heating system; the house is never cold with a strong water heating system – with constant hot water for showers.
We've got decent strength WIFI in the house - we also have a really handy storage room outside the apartment; on the landing – which you can use for empty suitcases, spare clothes etc.

ABOUT THE FLATMATES
We’re an International bunch: who like to talk about each other’s lives, eat together sometimes, and generally just get on with each other & have some fun.
Even though there is 7 of us living here, we all have our own lives/jobs/interests; it’s really rare that we’d all ever be home together, so you would never have that crowded feeling.

Tamara, Spanish - an Engineer now working as a teacher, makes a great Spanish omelette.
Laura, New Zealander – works in Marketing, super friendly, like’s music.
Koy, Canadian - actor and freelancer, likes to listen to podcasts
Jenna, Irish – works in HR in Central London, likes music/sports/travelling.
Helen, taiwanese new Zealander - physio, likes to draw, paint and climb.
Joe, English - web developer, enjoys a range of leisurely pursuits.
Henry, English - works in finance, enjoys a pint of beer, or 5.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for someone who is friendly, with a social personality, relaxed & respectful to others, shares chores and will keep the place tidy and clean.
Someone who likes living in London, experiencing new things & meeting new people.
PLEASE note we are currently looking prefably for a male to balance out the male: female ratio in the house.
Preferably someone who is between 26-40.
We aren't clean freaks, but we do like to have a tidy house…

BILLS & ALL THE REST
Rent is payable on the 1st of each month.
All bills are included in the rent – including council tax, heating, water, electricity, WIFI.
Deposit is 1 month’s rent, payable before you move in.
A minimum 6 month lease.
We collect £5 - 10 each per month for cleaning products/household bits & pieces.
