Bright double room in spacious Canary Wharf flat
Hello. I'm James. I've lived in this lovely home in Canary Wharf for seven years and I'm looking for someone to join me as an equal tenant on the contract.
Canary Wharf has really changed since I've lived here - it's now a place in its own right with plenty going on and plenty to do, as well as being super handy for accessing Central London.
You'll have:
-A furnished double room in a clean and tidy 3 bedroom, 2 storey apartment (sharing with only me). The room has a double bed, a desk, a bedside table with 2 drawers and a large built-in wardrobe.
-Big 42 inch TV in the lounge room with ability to record (plus Chromecast)
-Wireless and unlimited internet
-Big kitchen and lounge room
-Bathroom (shared) with shower and bathtub, and combined washing machine/dryer
-Lots of storage space
-Intercom/security at the building entrance
Rent is £832.50 and bills come to about £200 per month each which includes gas, electricity, council tax (band C), broadband, water, TV licence and fortnightly cleaner. Hopefully that will decrease a bit as energy bills come down.
Location:
-Zone 2
-5 mins walk to South Quay Station (DLR)
-10 mins walk to Canary Wharf Station (Jubilee Line)
-15 mins walk to Elizabeth line at Canary Wharf
-Bus stop near the end of the street
-4 mins walk to a very handy Co-op
About me:
I’m 34, from Cornwall and have been living in London for seven years. I did a maths degree (a while ago now) and I work as financial software consultant in central London.
I’m out and about in London a lot, but when I’m home I’m looking for someone who is up for the occasional chat, or at least, watching television together, for example the latest BBC or ITV drama. And if you want to try to introduce me to a show you like, so much the better.
I enjoy pub quizzes. I’m part of a team that plays dodgeball in the winter and rounders in the summer, and I'm just about to hit my 50th parkrun.
I'm open-minded, friendly and I like to have fun but am in no way a party animal. I'm considerate and would like to live with like-minded people.
I think I'm pretty easy to live with :) If you want to know anything else feel free to ask!
Other details:
-I'm looking for a graduate professional - but more importantly someone clean and tidy, considerate and quiet while others are sleeping, friendly and trustworthy.
-We aren't allowed pets here, sorry.
-No smokers
-We are up two flights of stairs, not a deal-breaker if you're a bike owner, but something to be aware of.
- I am renting - you would be joining me as an equal tenant on the contract.
-You will need to pass a reference check with the agency.
-The previous occupant of the room has left for a new job in Norfolk.
