Hey all, I’m both looking for a subletter for my room and new flatmate for the second room in the flat.

The sublet runs from May 27th-June 10th.

In addition, my lovely flatmate is moving out at the end of June, and I’m hoping to find someone else to fill the second room starting July 1st. Looking for someone with shared interests and values, who’s interested building a home. Move-in date is July 1st.

The flat is roomy, gets amazing light (especially in the afternoon/evening) and is quiet. The location is great, with tons of shops, restaurants, supermarkets, bars, etc close by. It’s in the middle of Hackney Rd, Hoxton St, and Kingsland Rd which have great bus and train connections to the rest of the city and easy access to London Fields, Vic Park and a ton of other great East-London spots. In general it’s central enough to be super convenient, but it still feels homey and residential.

No pets or couples for the sublet or flatmate, sorry!

SUBLET (MAY 27TH-JUNE 10th)

The room for sublet room is furnished, with a large standing desk (and a 27” monitor), a good sized closet, and a dresser. Looking for someone who is clean and respectful. The process is we’ll do a video chat/tour and then you’ll speak to my housemate who you’ll be living with.

If you’re renting for the full period, then the flat is £600, otherwise, it’s £350pcw, incl bills for both. Happy to discuss discounts if you can’t afford this! Min 1-week

Shoot me a message with a bit about yourself and why you’re looking for a sublet and we’ll set up a call.

FLATMATE (MOVE-IN DATE JULY 1ST)

Ideal flatmate is chill, clean, but not too clean, has similar aesthetic/vibe preferences and is interested in being social (I'm big on community), but also has their own stuff going on. The room comes with a bed and desk, gets plenty of light and has a large closet.

I work in climate risk and resiliency and have a super flexible schedule. I usually work from the office 2-3 days of the week, and will often split my days so I’m wfh in the morning and at the office in the afternoon. Happy to change things up to match your wfh requirements!

I'm fairly evenly split between being social and needing time to myself. I have a solid existing crew in London, but am also looking to meet new people and build community, so I’m hoping to find someone who is a friend as well as a flatmate. I love to cook, am a pretty big coffee nerd, and love hosting, so will be having people over for things like small dinner parties and hangs. I also love adventure (camping, hiking, road trips, travel, etc), do some photography and writing as artistic hobbies and am a pretty active person in general.

The room is £1125pcm, and bills are ~£160pcm, and unfortunately the full-time rent isn’t negotiable.

If you’re interested, please shoot me a message with a bit about yourself (what you do for work, what you’re into, what you’re looking for in a flat/flatmate, etc.) and I’ll get back to you asap! I get a lot of requests, so please include at least a little detail and something that indicates you read the post and think you’d be a good fit. It helps me filter.

Looking forward to hearing from you all!
