Double Bedroom on London City Island
Hi guys!
I have a lovely double room available in my spacious 3 bed flat - you’d be joining myself (30, F), Remy (30, M), and Vanessa (31, F)! Our second tenant is the lovely Vanessa, who is 31, F, from Brazil, relatively new to London and comes with a little Italian Greyhound named Beau. Remy is an entrepreneur, Swiss French, who studied at Imperial/Oxford and has now been in London for 5+ years. Please send a message about room if you like - would also be great if you could please include info such as pictures, age, job/days WFH ☺️ Thank you!
Also I’m unsure why the map on this app is so wrong - the flat is located super conveniently attached to Canning Town station on the Jubilee Line and DLR. Flat is a 2/3 min walk from the station through our lovely London City Island development and a 20min walk to Canary Wharf.
The room itself is a double bedroom with integrated wardrobes and lots of storage, plus floor to ceiling windows that let in morning sun. The bathroom is just across the corridor, shared with Vanessa.
The flat has a large shared living room, with a big high top dining table, plenty of kitchen storage and a large comfortable sofa/seating area. There was even enough room for me to put my pool/ping pong table which you can see in the pictures attached! There’s also a balcony which faces out to the water of River Lea that surrounds the ‘Island’. The flat is on the first floor with lift and fob access. My flat does also come with a parking space in a gated/secure parking lot with fob access - happy for you to use this, but it’s currently being rented out for £150 per month.
As for London City Island itself, the development comes with a host of amenities, including an indoor pool, outdoor pool, 2 x gyms, 2 x jacuzzis, steam room, 2 x sauna, cinema, concierge, workhouse, function rooms, onsite bars, monthly events, and there’s a rooftop sports pitch too!
A bit about me - I’ve been living in London for around 8 years now, so know my way around the place but still love finding new places to eat and drink! I’m very tidy and clean and would like that to be mirrored in any prospective flatmates too, but other than that it’s all about the chemistry for me! I’m pretty chilled, respectful, rather sociable, but also appreciate a night in every now and then too. Someone who’s more than just a flatmate, but also independent would be fab - however I do sometimes like entertaining/having friends in the flat so if you’re up for that occasionally that’d be great! We’re also a very generous flat, tend not to quibble or splitwise every single item, so that kind of mentality would be appreciated too :)
As for work, I’ve been switching up jobs lately, but work largely sees me working from home most of the week. Also, as you can probably see from the pictures, I like to paint as well, so someone who doesn’t mind a couple of creative pursuits would be ideal! Side note, if anyone can help keep my plants alive I’d be indebted..
