Double Room £675

Sadly our friend is moving out of her room in Hackney Downs and go back to her country after 4 years. The room(3,6x4,8m)is a spacious double in a 4 bedroom house with 3 other housemates. Although the house is old and doesn’t have a living room, it has a lovely garden that has been established by housemate Ozge. It also has a large kitchen with sofas, which is the chill-out space, two toilets and lots of storage space in the communal areas of the house.

The current housemates are Ed (I. T. consultant) , Rosie ( Marketing Excuter) and Ozge (landscape gardener) are aged between 28-36. We all enjoy eating or chilling in the garden from time to time and when our friends are over, but we also have our own lives and enjoy our own space a lot of the time as well.

We’d be looking for someone easy going and clean and tidy. We’re not obsessively clean but we have always made a rule of keeping the kitchen clean and washing up pots, pans and plates straight away since it’s the only chill out spot in the house. It’s really refreshing when you need to cook to not have to wash up someone else’s stuff before cooking. Bills are approximate £140. We all take ownership of a utility (gas, water, internet, cleaner etc) then settle the balances on splitwise, which we also use for any communal house stuff (toilet paper, washing up liquid) so that if something is needed for the house it’s paid for communally straight away and no one is always out of pocket or waiting for something to be bought. It’s a really good system and we would expect our new housemate to be onboard!! :)
