A beautifully appointed, stylish and extraordinarily comfortable ensuite room in a fantastic shared house. The higgihaus@hanover seeks to redefine social living for the City’s ambitious and aspirational young professionals.

The location is perfect - only minutes from the bars, restaurants and coffee shops in the Uplands in one direction and a hop, skip and jump from the City Centre and all that Oxford Street, Castle Square and Wind Street has to offer in the other. For those with cars, there’s plenty of parking on the street, for those with bikes there’s a custom-built secure ‘bike garage’ that has room for five bikes, for those using public transport, the house is only yards from a bus route.

No expense was spared in transforming this cracking four-story Victorian property into a comfortable, achingly stylish and spacious ‘higgihaus’ that includes five double bedrooms (all ensuite) on the upper three storeys. On the lower ground floor is an extraordinary kitchen, dining and ‘community’ space designed very specifically to enhance interaction, collaboration and social engagement: Throw open the large patio doors and the community space is seamlessly connected to an enclosed south-facing rear garden.

Each room has been designed to be incredibly comfortable. The mattresses are cutting-edge responsive memory foam. In the ensuite bathroom, you will find a rainfall shower. They’re also brim full of ‘tech’. High-definition internet-connected smart TVs adorn the walls, USB charging points have been placed immediately adjacent to the bed, the WIFI is business-grade, and the broadband is fast. We’ve even included a Netflix account for the house so you can stream movies and binge on box sets to your heart's content.

The kitchen, dining and community space is fully equipped and includes everything the ‘higgihausmates’ might reasonably need and includes: an induction hob, double oven, separate combination oven/microwave, integrated dishwasher, integrated fridge/freezers (two of them), a washing machine and a gas tumble dryer (it consumes a fraction of the energy when compared to its electric cousins). House movie nights are delivered courtesy of a wall-hung 55” 4k Ultra HD smart TV.

2. All bills (gas, electricity, water, council tax, broadband),
3. TV license (for the TV in the community space only) and a whole-house Netflix account,
4. Internet-enabled motion-sensitive security cameras and lights (front and rear),
5. Keyless digital entry system (front),
6. A cleaner (weekly cleaning of the communal areas. Individual room cleaning can be arranged at extra cost),
8. A gardener (monthly maintenance of lawn, flower beds and hard landscaping),
9. A community manager (organising local higgihaus events and experiences).
There are no agency fees as we don’t use agencies.

There is no deposit to pay, instead, we’ll ask you to purchase a deposit replacement insurance policy (cost is around £185).
